Our Story
The Canadian Institute of Equine and Canine Body Works is dedicated to bringing the best instruction and complementary professional development opportunities for body work and other animal health care modalities. Our mission and passion is to work proactively to grow the skills and value of each body worker as part of a health care team.
Delivering the internationally recognized Equinology® and Caninology® curriculum, the CIECBW delivers education that is second to none. Our instructors are hand picked industry leaders who are dedicated to producing professionals known worldwide. CIECBW is the Canadian Division of the Equinology® family working collectively and collaboratively to raise the bar for standard of care for our canine and equine companions and athletes alike.

CIECBW offers integrated, progressive, comprehensive learning for body workers, animal health care professionals, trainers, and owners with certification in foundation, advanced and master levels. We also offer modality specialization such as Myofascial Release, Neurokinetic Therapy® and saddle fitting.

We support learner success by enlisting highly competent instructors, teachers aides, examiners, staff, and we are building and expanding our support team to enable growth of this learning delivery system across Canada.

The Equinology® Institute is our parent school based in Petaluma, CA, USA. Founder Debranne Pattillo, MEEBW, has poured her heart and soul into the bodywork field as well as into creating educational resources for future generations of bodyworkers all over the world.
Academy of Animal Sport Science (AASS) offers global education in evidence-based animal sports therapy and rehabilitation. All AASS courses are fully RACE-approved by the American Association of State Veterinary Boards. The post-graduate Animal Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Certification offers the longest practical/residential module in the industry, as well as the most comprehensive independent online study in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation.
The International Equine Body Worker Association (IEBWA) fosters awareness and the practice of equine and canine body work by offering quality support in educational programs, professional guidelines, and community education to its members across the globe.
